The outside of The Aud is looking much different these days with the new add on which slightly takes away from the nice front facade but its still a nice facade from when the rink was first built in 1950 which actually makes it the oldest rink in the OHL.
Tons of free parking but with big crowds the lots do fill up quickly but there’s also lots of side streets to park on as well for no cost.

Until 2013 the “big” side of the arena only went to the top of the reds. It was a huge project that was done essentially to put off building a new rink for another couple decades. There was talk that they would add another deck of seats on the opposite side of the rink as well but it didn’t happen.
Looking all the way up at those seats always gives me a Maple Leaf Gardens vibe.

While the rink isn’t quite the same as it used to be with the new addition it still has a good atmosphere and is mostly full every night. I wouldn’t be surprised if The Aud gets another crack at hosting the Memorial Cup before the Rangers eventually have to build a new rink sometime in the not-so-distant future.

Different colour seats for different sections is not something you really see in junior hockey anymore as most new rinks (even huge ones like in London) all get the same coloured seats. It adds to that Maple Leaf Gardens vibe I get from The Aud.
